Maternity Photography at 38wks


On March 10, Samuel and I did a really cute maternity/toddler photo-shoot at JCPenney and here is a slideshow of those pictures. I think this is it for pregnancy photos this time around folks! The last one will hopefully be before we leave for the hospital which is what I think the picture from Samuel's Pregnancy is. Based on my outfit, you'll also notice it was quite a bit warmer by Samuel's due date!

New Baby Left, Sammy Right

*Based on a few new stretchmarks, this second baby is a little higher than Samuel and likes to push my belly forwards/outwards rather than more to the sides. I managed to get away last time with stretchmarks only under my belly button and on my sides but I'm getting one right above my belly button! I hope he shifts soon!!*

Mom Thoughts

The little things I never knew I would care about...

-That with so many sippie cups out there, it's nearly impossible to find one that fits in "kid-sized" cup holders, doesn't leak, is easy to assemble, no parts to lose, has interchable lids, fits inside other cups of the same type, is BPA-free, AND that my son will drink from. I mean, it's just a cup with a lid - right?

-That I'd never appreciate noisy restaurants so much!! Or that public highchairs are really gross!! Or that kids could eat so fast that they'd be bored before my food arrived! Or that bored = loud yelling, food flying, crying, and trying to stand up in the highchair.

Baby Registry

Here's a link to the Amazon Registry or the Target Registry if you prefer one over the other (they have the same items except I could add a few more things to the amazon one). Please let me know if you think of something I haven't that we might need this time around! Below, I've included some suggestions on additional things I couldn't put on the registry, ways to save $ on them and a few things we'd love used! We are fine with all of these items second-hand!

Things not on the Registries:

• 6 BumGenius 3.0 One-Size Diapers. There are new bright colors we'd love that should be available on this website in January! They are called "ribit(dark green), "moonbeam" (dark blue), and "clementine" (bright orange). Go to: 1800diapers.com, order 3 diapers (necessary for free shipping and the best deal), and use either the code, AFFL10 or BABX6781. You can only use only one of these codes only once at this website. The total should come to just under $42, include free shipping and no tax. That saves $10 off of the regular price of 3 pack from cottonbabies.com. We don't need any more than six because I don't think I could fit any more than that in our washer in one load. This will make it so that I can have both kids in the cloth for awhile and only have to do diapers every other day. I won't start cloth with the new baby until about 1mo old.

• Random baby goop - You know how it is...destitin (overnight), gripe water, mylicon gas drops, etc.

• Diaper Bag - undecided! Our current bag is falling apart so we do need another one that is bigger (but not too big bag!) I like lots of compartments/pockets in the diaper bags. The "bottomless pit" that some bags have frustrate me!

• Sweet Pea Nursing Nest Pillow. Go to: bonniebabies.com. I'm hoping this will make it easier to nurse at night than last time. These are $40.

Silly things mommy likes but we don't Need!

• Bandana called Bandabib to catch teething drool! These are also at Target.Second-hand (Craigslist, ebay, freecycle)

• Ergo Backpack - just would be easier to zip on the carrier methinks! Here's the site.
